Men's Basketball Win Big in Home Opener

MONCTON, NB - Crandall Chargers Men's Basketball put on a show Saturday afternoon as they took down the UKC Blue Devils 83-72 during their home opener.

The Chargers opened the game on an outstanding 11 point run before UKC could even get on the board. By the half Crandall was sitting on a 36-22 point lead.

Jaydin Nordin led UKC with 28 points while also collecting 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Leading the Chargers was Center, Colby Lawrence who had 28 points and 8 rebounds. Devon Glenn was hot on his Chargers teammate's heels with 27 points himself going 5-9 from beyond the arc and coming down with 11 total rebounds.

with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarters the Chargers had a 21 point lead but UKC would not give up easily stringing together multiple runs. The difference makers in the game were the Chargers opening run and their 15 second chance points.

The Chargers will hit the court again Sunday at 3pm against the MSVU Mystics, with the hopes of starting the season 2-0.
