Chargers Fall to Holland in Road Matchup
The Crandall Chargers dropped a 4–0 decision to Holland on September 21st in an away contest, facing sustained pressure throughout the match.
Holland took control early, opening the scoring in the 11th minute and adding a second goal in the 37th minute to take a 2–0 lead into halftime. The hosts continued to apply pressure after the break, adding goals in the 69th and 77th minutes to close out the match.
Crandall worked to stay organized defensively and limit chances, but Holland controlled possession and finished with a 7–2 edge in shots and an 8–0 advantage in corner kicks. The Chargers generated two shots on goal, with Jamie Hicks and Brianna Killam each testing the Holland goalkeeper.
Goalkeeper Maya Clapperton played the full 90 minutes for Crandall, facing consistent pressure as Holland pushed forward, particularly through the midfield. Defensively, the Chargers battled throughout and worked to limit second-chance opportunities.
Despite the result, the road match provided valuable experience against a disciplined Holland side, as the Chargers continued to develop and compete through conference play.
The Chargers will look to regroup and build on this performance as they prepare for their next matchup.
