Chargers Fall to Dal Rams in Tight Road Contest

The Crandall Chargers battled through a competitive road matchup but fell 2–1 to the Dal Rams on October 10th at LAC Field, with all three goals coming across a narrow stretch surrounding halftime.

Dal Rams opened the scoring in the 13th minute, as Kelsey Oakley found the net with an unassisted goal. Crandall responded just before the break, when Rheannen Campbell scored in the 45th minute, also unassisted, to level the match 1–1 heading into halftime.

Momentum swung back to the hosts early in the second half, as Amanda North scored in the 47th minute, giving Dal the decisive goal less than two minutes after the restart.

Crandall finished with six shots, including two on goal, while Dal held a slight edge with eight shots and six on target. Goalkeeper Molly Jensen delivered a strong performance for the Chargers, recording six saves while facing sustained pressure, particularly in the first half.

Offensively, Sarah Schurman recorded Crandall's lone shot on goal, while Jamie Hicks and Brianna Killam helped generate chances in the attacking third as the Chargers pushed for an equalizer. Crandall also earned two corner kicks and continued to press late, but Dal's defense held firm.

Despite the result, the Chargers showed resilience and composure, responding well after conceding early and remaining competitive through the final whistle in a closely contested road match.

The Chargers will look to build on this effort as they continue their season.
