Chargers Post Solid Team Finishes on Men's and Women's Sides at Nationals
The Crandall University Chargers turned in strong team performances in a competitive meet, with the men finishing 11th overall and the women placing 15th against deep fields.
On the men's side, Crandall recorded a team score of 166 with an average time of 29:10. Luke Purdy led the way with a standout 10th-place finish in 26:35, followed by Declan Andrews, Tobey Shannon, and Luc Blanchette, who ran closely together through the middle of the race to complete the scoring lineup.
The women's team posted a score of 277 and an average time of 30:05, led by MaryAnne Gard, who finished 51st overall with a time of 26:32. Rylee Stanford followed with a strong 75th-place finish in 27:33, while Lydia MacArthur and Lydia Bodechon rounded out the scoring group. Emily Britton provided additional depth, finishing just outside the scoring positions.
Luke Purdy was named CCAA All-Canadian
Across both races, the Chargers demonstrated resilience, pack running, and continued progress as they competed against strong competition.
