Chargers Pull Away From Dal Rams in Second-Half Surge
The Crandall Chargers used a strong second-half performance to earn a 4–1 victory over the Dal Rams on October 10th at LAC Field, breaking a 1–1 deadlock and pulling away late.
Crandall opened the scoring in the 14th minute, as Samuel Acatincai finished a well-worked chance off an assist from Ben Hardwick. Dal responded before halftime, equalizing in the 37th minute through Gus MacEwen, sending the match into the break tied 1–1.
The Chargers took full control after halftime. Acatincai struck again in the 70th minute with an unassisted goal to restore the lead, and just two minutes later Manil Alaouche doubled the advantage with another unassisted finish. Chase Pennel put the result beyond doubt in the 88th minute, capping off a dominant closing stretch.
Crandall finished with a 10–6 edge in shots and a 4–3 advantage in shots on goal, while also winning the corner kick battle 6–5. Goalkeeper Tim Leaman made three saves to secure the win, while Dal keeper Patrick Casey recorded four saves.
With balanced scoring and strong second-half execution, the Chargers showed composure and attacking depth, turning a tight match into a convincing victory.
The Chargers will look to build on this momentum as they continue their season.
