Chargers Close Season with Hard-Fought Battle Against Holland
The Crandall Chargers wrapped up their season with a competitive effort but fell 3–2 to Holland on October 18th at Rocky Stone Field in the final match of the season.
Crandall got off to a strong start, opening the scoring in the 9th minute when Manil Alaouche finished an unassisted chance to give the Chargers an early lead. Holland answered in the 20th minute to level the match at 1–1, sending the teams into halftime deadlocked.
The Chargers struck again early in the second half, as Chase Pennel restored the lead in the 65th minute with another unassisted goal. Holland responded almost immediately, equalizing just one minute later, before netting the decisive goal in the 86th minute to pull ahead 3–2.
Crandall held a 15–12 edge in shots and put 10 shots on goal, consistently testing Holland's goalkeeper. Tim Leaman made seven saves in goal for the Chargers, keeping the match within reach until the final moments.
Despite the result, the Chargers showed fight and attacking intent throughout, pushing forward late in search of an equalizer in a match that reflected their growth over the course of the season.
The season finale marked the end of a campaign defined by resilience, development, and competitive performances, as the Chargers now turn their focus toward building for the year ahead.
