Chargers Exit ACAA Championship, MSVU win 85-65
FREDERICTON, NB -  Crandall Chargers season concludes with a postseason loss to the MSVU Mystics during the opening round of the ACAA Basketball Championship as the Mystics won 85-65.

The Mystics were dialed in from the tip-off and jumped out early with a ten-point run and never relinquished the lead. Crandall however would not roll over easily, keeping MSVU on their toes and forcing their opponents to keep their starters in the game and not allowing the Mystics to go into the semi-finals unwinded.

The Matchup was a contest of two different offenses with the Chargers driving the lane and going to the rim while MSVU was content to find the open shooter from beyond the arc.

Alexa Rancourt (Charlottetown, PE) will end her Chargers career with another double-double going 8/14 for 16 points and coming down with 16 rebounds. Rancourt's performance was enough to earn her the Player-Of-The-Game Award for the Crandall Chargers.

First Year player, Mattea Hansen (Fredericton, NB) had a stand-out performance with a big showing in the fourth quarter. Hansen shot 58.3% from the field for 15 points and led the Chargers with a trio of assists.

Kylee Balser (Moncton, NB) found her shot, shooting 42.8% from beyond the arc for a total of 13 points for the Chargers
The largest difference in the stats was the bench points as MSVU had double the number of reserve players than Crandall and accounted for 27 team points compared to the 4 points coming from the Chargers Bench.

Alisha McNeil had a big game for the Mystics draining 6 three-pointers and totaling 25 points in her 30 minutes of court time. Emily Holt led MSVU with 12 rebounds while also accounting for 18 points scored.

With a pair of starters in Emily Briggs (Bath, NB) and Alexa Rancourt graduating this year Chargers Head Coach, Jillian Smith will turn her focus to the future and continue to build upon the team.
