Steven Hopkins is a FIBA-licensed and NCCP-certified basketball coach in Canada with over a decade of coaching experience across Canada, and Sweden, in the professional and semi-professional levels. His coaching journey has included roles as a head coach, assistant coach, camp clinician, Jr. NBA clinician, and player development coach, giving him a strong background in recruiting, scouting, team culture, and athlete development.
Most recently, Steven served as the Head Coach of Redeemer University Men’s Basketball from 2023–2026, where he focused on developing student-athletes on and off the court while building a competitive, team-first culture. His coaching philosophy is centered on helping players grow in confidence, basketball IQ, leadership, character, and purpose.
Steven is excited to continue his coaching journey at Crandall University and cannot wait to get started with the student-athletes, staff, and university community.
Outside of coaching, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as playing lacrosse.
