Chargers Defeat Holland in Four Sets at Home
The Crandall Chargers earned a hard-fought 3–1 victory (25–20, 22–25, 25–22, 25–23) over Holland on Saturday afternoon at Crandall University.
Crandall set the tone early by taking the opening set, then responded well after Holland evened the match in the second. The Chargers showed composure and balance down the stretch, closing out the third and fourth sets with strong serving pressure and timely execution at the net.
Francois Benoit led all players with a standout performance, recording 14 kills on .387 hitting, while also adding five service aces and 10 digs for a match-high 21 points. Ben Brun delivered a strong offensive showing with 12 kills and six digs, and Connor Kirkland contributed six kills, two aces, and four block assists.
Setter Mico Guiao directed the offense with 35 assists, helping Crandall finish with 44 kills and a .248 team hitting percentage. Defensively, Joel Keats anchored the back row with 11 digs, while the Chargers totaled 16 block assists, consistently challenging Holland at the net.
Despite Holland's pressure and extended rallies throughout the match, Crandall maintained control in the key moments, using balanced scoring and defensive discipline to secure the home victory.
