Chargers Fall on the Road to St. Thomas

The Crandall Chargers were unable to generate enough offense Saterday afternoon, falling in straight sets (25–21, 25–19, 25–22) to St. Thomas at LB Gym.

Despite competitive stretches in each set, Crandall struggled to find consistent rhythm against a balanced St. Thomas attack and strong service pressure.

Competitive Start

Crandall battled early in the opening set, trading points and staying within striking distance through the middle stages. The Chargers showed resilience defensively, extending rallies and forcing St. Thomas to earn points, but the hosts pulled away late to take the first set 25–21.

St. Thomas carried momentum into the second set, using an efficient attack and aggressive serving to create separation. Crandall continued to compete, but St. Thomas maintained control to secure the set 25–19.

Chargers Push Late

The third set proved to be Crandall's strongest stretch of the match, as the Chargers stayed locked in throughout and remained tied deep into the set. Crandall showed improved offensive flow and defensive effort, but St. Thomas closed out key points late to complete the sweep with a 25–22 win.

Individual Efforts

Charlie Benoit led the Chargers with nine kills, while Hailey Legacy added four kills and a block. Kallie Woodworth contributed 20 assists, along with two service aces, helping direct the offense. Defensively, Amy LeBlanc anchored the back row with 14 digs, and Emma Visser added 12 digs.

Crandall finished with 22 kills and 50 digs but was held to a .009 team hitting percentage as St. Thomas limited clean offensive opportunities throughout the match.
