Chargers Respond Strongly to Defeat Holland in Four Sets
The Crandall Chargers rebounded after dropping the opening set to earn a 3–1 victory (20–25, 25–17, 25–20, 25–22) over Holland on November 8th at Crandall University.
Holland came out strong in the first set, but Crandall quickly found its rhythm and took control of the match. The Chargers responded with improved serve-receive and consistent offensive pressure, winning the next three sets behind efficient attacking and steady defense.
Charlie Benoit led the Chargers with a match-high 18 kills, hitting .424 and setting the tone offensively. Jolie Allain added 13 kills and seven digs, while Emma Visser contributed 10 kills and strong play at the net. Hailey Legacy provided a spark in the middle with eight kills on .400 hitting and multiple blocks, and Brianna Tingley chipped in with key points and defensive effort.
Setter Kallie Woodworth orchestrated the offense with 41 assists, helping Crandall hit an impressive .418 as a team. Defensively, Amy Le Blang anchored the back row with a team-high 12 digs, while the Chargers recorded 10 block assists and limited Holland's scoring runs.
After a slow start, Crandall showed composure and balance, controlling the final three sets to secure the home win.
The Chargers will look to build on this momentum as they continue conference play.
